James N. Johnson, MD, FAAFP, CAQSM
Dr. Jim Johnson is Board-Certified in Family and Sports Medicine and is a Certified ImPACT Concussion Consultant
Dr. Johnson specializes in sports medicine, tendinitis, arthritis, and the treatment of overuse injuries for those ages 0 to 100+. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Stanford University and San Jose Medical Center in California.
Dr. Johnson is a clinical instructor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine’s department of family medicine, and also serves as a clinical assistant professor at Meharry Medical College. Among his affiliations with local, regional, and national sports teams, Dr. Johnson is a team physician for the U.S. Olympic Swim Team, the USA National Swim Team, Nashville Ballet, the Nashville Aquatic Club (NAC), and Lipscomb University.
